Goal and objectives of the program

The purpose of the program “Understanding and Operating the Internet: A Hands-on Networking Course” is to analyze the fundamental concepts, mechanisms, and protocols governing computer networking. Additionally, participants will deepen their understanding of areas such as configuring and managing networking devices (routers), establishing step-by-step communication between autonomous systems, and exploring mechanisms for detecting and troubleshooting network problems.

2) Prediction – Estimating potential developments or outcomes based on available data
3) Data Analysis – Investigating and interpreting data to extract meaning or conclusions

Psychomotor Skills

1) Configure and manage basic networking devices (routers) applying correct commands and parameters
2) Use diagnostic and troubleshooting tools to identify and resolve network issues
3) Execute step-by-step connection and communication processes between autonomous systems, adhering to technical instructions and protocols

Attitudes/Behaviors

1) Demonstrate responsibility and consistency in implementing procedures and safety rules during network management
2) Collaborate effectively with others to solve technical problems, maintaining a positive attitude and team spirit
3) Transfer and apply acquired knowledge and skills to different environments outside the educational process, demonstrating adaptability and initiative

Learning Outcomes Evaluation

1) Individual project reports describing and analyzing results
2) Short presentation of deliverables
