Purpose of the course
The purpose of the course for the Mobile Health Teams (MHT) is to ensure that their staff have the appropriate training and readiness to provide effective, quality health services to communities with specific and often immediate needs. Building on the foundations of Primary Health Care (PHC) and Public Health (PH), the program aims to strengthen the knowledge and practices of health professionals, supporting evidence-based health service delivery and evaluation of services provided.
To date, the KOMYs are composed of nurses and nursing assistants, health visitors, biologists, medical laboratory technologists, preparers, vehicle drivers, and administrative staff for the coordination of activities. Through this training, KOMY members acquire knowledge and skills for epidemiological surveillance, recording risk factors, early detection and observation of chronic disorders, providing information to citizens, and enhancing access to primary care services. The training also promotes interdisciplinary and interprofessional collaboration, ensuring that health professionals work together effectively to address complex health issues and provide holistic services.
Training programs include health promotion and prevention of common diseases, such as screening, vaccinations, and interventions targeting high-risk groups, with the aim of reducing risk factors and promoting healthy lifestyles. At the same time, cooperation between KOMY members and existing services is fostered, facilitating the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and actions, and facilitating access to care.
Finally, the program aims to strengthen digital literacy and the ability to collect and analyze clinical control data in order to continuously improve the services provided based on evidence-based practices. This comprehensive educational approach promotes a culture of social justice and community support, with the aim of providing safe and equal care for all citizens, strengthening collective trust in community health.
