The Orientation Day for incoming Erasmus students took place on September 26th 2022 at Gallos Campus (Rethymno) of the University of Crete. We had the pleasure to welcome about 60 Students from various higher education institutions all over the world, who chose the University of Crete for their studies in the framework of Erasmus+ programme.
The Orientation Day was organised on the initiative of the International Relations Department in Rethymno with the aim to introduce the incoming Erasmus students to the activities and services offered on campus making sure that their transition to university life as well as to the local community is smooth and flawless.
The commencement of the event was marked by the cordial welcome speech of the Vice-Rector of Academic Affairs, Lifelong Learning, International Relations and Outlook, Professor G. Kosioris.
Afterwards, the exchange students were introduced to the university itself and were provided with the most important practical and academic information related to their mobility period by the staff of the International Relations Department in Rethymno.
Special thanks to our volunteer students of the UoC, who provided new students with tips about academic and student life, and offered a campus tour so that new students are familiar and comfortable with the campus before their classes begin.
