SARS-CoV-2 Important information for exchange students

The University of Crete is closely following the coronavirus situation and the instructions provided by the National Public Health Organization.

Until now, the University of Crete is accepting incoming students both for the winter and spring semester,  provided that they follow the safety measures and country-specific instructions provided by the EU and the advice for travellers in Greece.

A 7-day self-isolation is obligatory after your arrival in Greece and before your orientation day.

Please read the guidance for self-isolation at home.

Masks are mandatory on all University premises, indoors and outdoors, and a 2m distance is required when visiting our offices (only by appointment!) and in all social occasions.

Incoming students of medicine that will do a traineeship at the University Hospital in Heraklion are further required to bring a negative covid-19 viral test upon arrival.

Please keep in mind that the above information and instructions are subject to change anytime, according to state instructions and the development of the pandemic. Updates will be provided when needed.

If you have any questions, please contact us.

Stay safe!
